See you on the Paramount lot.
In 2018, we not only took back the House.  We sent a phenomenally talented freshman class to Congress – people from all parts of the country with extraordinary talent, credentials, experience, clear vision, integrity, brains, and the ability to communicate and connect with their constituents.
In March, Billy Ray arranged for those of us in Los Angeles to meet some of these extraordinary new Representatives that sent Republicans packing in formerly solid Republican territory:
Haley Steven, D-Michigan
Kendra Horn, D-Oklahoma
Antonio Delgado, D-New York
Xochitl Torres-Small, D-New Mexico
Katie Porter, D-California (Irvine, Orange County)
For those of us who were lucky enough to attend the panel in March, it  was exceptional to hear their views as Democrats in states where people view the country’s challenges differently than we do in LA, how they were able to connect with their constituents, and why their constituents chose the vision and values shared by Democrats over the ones that the Republicans in power have been offering.  What we learned is that a lot people share our core Democratic values and vision of a better America, and that what people tend to agree on is concrete solutions to concrete problems.  We also witnessed the extraordinary abilities of these news members of Congress.
This month, on April 18, Billy Ray has arranged for us to meet 3 more of this Phenomenal Class of Freshman Representatives.
If you can manage the free time, it’s well worth the time and braving LA traffic.
