Jane Albrecht makes Trump and his actions clearer for all of us to understand. While many have talked about Trump’s narcissism, few have identified and explained how Trump projects himself, his personality and his failings on others. Once you understand this, Trump and his wild daily tweets and behavior will no longer befuddle you. She also shines a light on the path out of these dark times and how to find our way “back home”.

“American Democracy in Crisis”, The Atlantic, by Hillary Rodham Clinton, Sept. 16, 2018
An excellent piece explaining several of the reasons why our democracy is truly in crisis. Hillary identifies 5 areas of assault on our democracy: (1) the assault on the Rule of Law, (2) the assault on the legitimacy of our elections (refusal to protect elections from foreign interference, gerrymandering, voter suppression), (3) the war on truth and reason, (4) breathtaking corruption, and (5) Trump’s assault on national unity that makes our democracy possible. The article is correct, accurate, reflective of her incisive intellect, as well as the breadth and depth of her understanding of the problems. It is also quite concise, considering the scope of the subject. Whether you voted for Hillary or not, it’s a very insightful and valuable read.
