Southern California Edison is hosting a community meeting for residents of Malibu, Hidden Hills, Calabasas, Agoura Hills and Westlake Village to share information and answer questions about their Wildfire Mitigation and Grid Resiliency Programs, and their Public Safety Power Shutoff Plan (PSPS). The meeting takes place on Tuesday, October 9, 6:30 PM at King Gillette Ranch (26800 Mulholland Hwy, Calabasas, CA 91302). For more information about the PSPS, visit the project web page.

The Malibu Times and the Santa Monica Daily Press will be hosting a candidate forum for those running for Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District Board of Education seats this fall. Co-sponsored by AMPS [Advocates for Malibu Public Schools], the forum will take place Wednesday, Oct. 10, at Point Dume Marine Science School, from 6-7:30 p.m. Assistance will be provided by SMMUSD students.
